Our trip around the world is just beginning, so this page is going to look a little empty for a little while.

Just click the name of a country (listed alphabetically) to see all related content, or get started with the posts listed below each. More on our overall route here.

Twenty-plus hours of daylight (at least at the right time of the year), limitless wild camping, and an absolutely astounding number of waterfalls, plus glaciers and volcanoes, too. Iceland may be rainy, windy, expensive, and cold, but it's still a beautiful place to bike

Excellent food, gorgeous scenery, and really kind, friendly people. Whether pedaling through Berber villages high in the Atlas mountains, striking out for the edge of the Sahara, or tackling the rugged coast, Morocco is a terrific spot for cyclists of any experience level.

Where we're headed is all very tentative and subject to our whims (and those of visa-issuing bureaucrats), but the rough plan is to cycle north through eastern Africa (South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Ethiopia, Sudan, Egypt), perhaps take a little break in Europe, then head east through Asia toward Oceania, before flying to South America and biking north to the United States. As we move, we'll occasionally update the map below with our progress.
